This movie stars real life actors and is unlike any movie you’ve seen before. Donald J. Trump and the American people vs The Hidden Enemy. This movie takes you through the up and downs of the global pandemic. The script is still being written and rumor has it the directors don’t even know how it will finish. From school cancellations, to overflown hospitals, and piles of dead bodies the whole world shuts down because of Corona Virus 2020. This movie is set to release fall of next year but there are no promises that will be the case. Go see the movie of the year and be part of history. Will you join the dark side?
One of the most controversial rappers is back in the public eye. After spending 2 years in prison 6ix9ine as been allowed to come home on house arrest. The controversial rapper snitched his way out of jail but people still give him the attention he had in the past because the people he told on were the same people trying to kill him. People were mad that he didn’t follow the “street code” like rappers are supposed to do but honestly anyone in that situation would’ve done the same thing. How are you going to protect people that tried to have you killed that just doesn’t make sense. With his return today he showed off on Instagram live acquiring 2 million viewers breaking the previous record of 500k viewers. Its safe to say even though his music isn’t the best he’s still collecting views, clicks, and deals right out of jail. King of clout for sure.
In a world of free speech how free are we really? Many of my past posts have talked about very controversial topics and considering we are in an election year it only makes sense. Many people disagree with each other and every day it also seems like we are being divided more and more. Every opinion and every side is taken as a vote for or against the other side of government and it’s hard to distinguish what’s real, what’s fake, and what’s partisan. Fake news is a topic President Trump has been talking about ever since he entered office and I feel like many people are opening their eye to what is really going on. Many of the videos I have cited in the past have been taken off platforms like Youtube and Facebook and it makes you think who really has control over what we see on the internet. After all we build these companies up and then the government uses them to control the masses. If it was really free speech no matter what was being said it would be kept up and people would work on debunking theories. Censorship in my opinion adds strength to the opposing argument because the people should make decisions on what to believe and what they watch. After all just do some research on MediaMatters for America, a non-profit organization that “comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.”
In light of my last post I thought it would be important to separate all the conspiracy theories that do have facts behind them to indisputable facts the doctors all around the country have been talking about. According to many health care providers doctors are being pressured to add COVID to all kinds of health papers. If they do so the hospitals receive $13,000 and if that person goes on a ventilator the hospital receives $39,000. This gives incentive to increase the amount of COVID cases and COVID deaths in order to scare the public. The truth is many of the people that have died had many existing conditions but because they had coronavirus like symptoms they would be one more to the tally. Medical doctors in California have talked about this and how the numbers of people that actually die is very low. Many suggest that we are doing the complete opposite of what we should be doing at this point in time but that we took the right precautions to start.
After being inside all this time and spending a lot of time on the internet you hear a lot of different things. One of the most recent things going around is that everything we know about this pandemic going around was actually an organized plan by the elite of this world in order for us to get a vaccine. For the longest time we’ve been told vaccines are supposed to help us and it is considered modern medicine but after everything I’ve read I am starting to believe the complete opposite. Did you know that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation held a conference called Event 201 that simulated the global effects of a virus just months before it appeared in China? Did you know that Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is also the second largest funder of the World Health Organization? The same organization that said it was unnecessary to close our borders. After doing a lot of research and critical thinking it made me wonder what do the people that speak out against this have to gain? They all get labelled as crazy conspiracy theorists mean while what does some one like Bill Gates have to gain? Power, control over the masses and more profits because everyone would have to take his vaccine. I’ve never been big on conspiracy theories but sometimes there are too many coincidences for there not to be facts behind it. With this pandemic going around for months now one of the things people would say this miss most is sports. It was one of the first things that had to be cancelled because it draws so many people from every direction all in one confined place. Every sport in every country has been at pause, even American sports. Slowly as the country is reopening, NBA commissioner Adam Silver is considering opening up practice facilities but has received a lot of pushback from league owners. Just recently France has announced there are no sports in France until September which puts in question who supposedly won the Ligue 1 title or if they will retire the season. This as well is a question other countries and other leagues are considering and if many sports don’t return until the fall that would be very depressing to many. Most people have said that they wouldn’t attend a sporting event until there would be a Coronavirus vaccine so this has to be extremely concerning to sports fan everywhere.
Just recently Tyson Foods, one of the largest distributers of meat in the United States, warned that millions of pounds would disappear from the supply chain as the pandemic pushes processing plants to close. This would create massive shortages in grocery stores all across the country. With everything going on real life seems to be more and more like the movie Contagion every day. A shortage of food wouldn’t surprise me in being one of the tipping points of society and its a scary reality to even think about. For this reason many people are pushing to go back to work and reopen the country but at what cost?
As the world moves forward after this pandemic many people wonder how the markets will be once this all settles. You can only look at how each country has reacted to the virus and the after effect first. In places like China where the disease started life is starting to return to normal. This new normal has many adverse effects particularly in the dining industry. Many people chose to eat and make food at home instead of eating out. It is interesting to see how each culture reacts to all of this but it is reasonable to believe this will have the same reaction here at home in the U.S. Currently life will remain to be on pause here in New York until the number of deaths and infections come way down and that possibly will only happen if there is a vaccine.
Last night the 10-hour documentary on Michael Jordan debuted its first two episodes. The series take us through his humble beginnings in Wilmington North Carolina to the height of his career at North Carolina and on the Chicago Bulls. The sheer competitiveness of Michael Jordan is astonishing in a time where there was a lot of racism going on in the United States and where he was from. He brought a lot of attention to professional basketball and became a world known figure. The documentary shines a bad light on general manage Jerry Krause as the reason the Bulls broke up in 1996. Michael Jordan became one of the best winners sports has ever seen and only compared to the likes of Mohammed Ali and Babe Ruth. Jordan has inspired millions created the generation of basketball we see today. For that reason many see him as the best of all time.
One of my favorite scenes throughout the whole movie is when Leonardo recruits Ellen to his team as an architect. She is responsible for creating the environment of the dream the dreamer sees. In this scene Leonardo is sitting with her at a café explaining to her how all of this works and everything seems normal until he asks her to tell him how they got there. At first she says “We just came from…” but can’t remember where they actually were before. Then he asks her again and then she realizes they’re dreaming. As soon as this happens the entire reality changes, first her coffee starts to rattle and then everything these small shops were selling on the sidewalks blows up. The cement blocks of the road pop up and float in the air and everything explodes in slow motion in a way that would never happen in reality and then right before she asks another question she is hit with a mountain of glass and she wakes up in a chair of some warehouse where they were conducting this. In the next scene he has her try to create her own world and the two of them walk through a world where she starts to tamper with everything. The streets fold up on each other and the sky is just upside-down buildings with people and cars moving upside down. She creates bridges where there are none and a giant walkway where there wasn’t one before out of mirrors. This is where Leonardo recognizes that the place she created was and actual place and that’s where he warns her against the danger of creating dreams from places in your memory. Cinematically Inception is one of the best movies I’ve seen just completely defying reality but making it look real as it would in any dream. This is wear she learns though as the architect of the dream the more she changes it the more the subject’s subconscious realizes that someone else is creating the dream and then as a result the subjects projections which would be random people on the street would start to attack the creator. In these two scenes the viewer is ultimately Ellen as we are explained on how dreams work and why they work. This scene was not only visually appealing but gave us an understanding that was needed in order for the rest of the movie to make sense making it very important.
