For my final project I decided to make light of the situation that the whole world is going through right now and add a little twist to it. With so many conspiracy videos going around to rationalize what is going on I though why not work off one of those ideas and make a movie trailer, a movie poster, and created an anticipation blog for the movie. So start making the trailer I used iMovie and this allowed me to create a professional looking trailer that included all of the characters and a storyline that allowed me to create build up and anticipation for the movie like you would see on TV. Not to sound bias but I would definitely go see this movie if it actually were to come out. The whole idea is that our President Donald Trump is trying to save us from the “Invisible Enemy”. Now we know that the enemy is Coronavirus but maybe there is an enemy lurking in the shadows that we don’t know about. If your curious more about this visit my blog tag and read more about it. Maybe they will make a movie like this in the future. As for the movie poster, I took the original I AM LEGEND poster and edited Will Smith out of the picture, but I had to keep the dog. I did that by blending him into the background to add more of a natural look. I got rid of the original headline and placed Coronavirus 2020 at the top. Then I had to add more layers and crop in Donald Trump head to toe and place him in the forefront. I did the same thing with Bill Gates as he would be the second most important character of the movie all though we don’t know yet if he is the good guy or the bad guy. Then in the background I had to add more layers and placed pictures of the actual covid – 19 viruses all floating in the background to make it look like some kind of alien invasion. I think it’s important during this time isolated to have fun and still have a sense of humor in a world that has little right now so that was my inspiration. As for the blog post I thought it would be best to do movie type promotion instead of a movie review because obviously it hasn’t come out yet. Hopefully this would add more hype for the movie for when it does come out. As you can see, I add all of these, including the link to the blog post all on my Final Page. This class has been a lot of fun and I learned a decent amount about programs that I hadn’t used in the past. This project really brought that all together and makes the progress I’ve made since the beginning of class when I didn’t know how to insert a picture, make a video, and make a website in January all worth it.
